Movement II-XV-Change of PaceWeiss woke up to a cold metal floor and an overwhelming ringing in his head. He couldn't see anything, and his first thought was that he had somehow gone blind. In a moment of panic, he thrashed about on the floor for a moment, scraping his belt buckle against the floor. As a shower of sparks flew into the air, he relaxed, but only briefly. He was trapped in a small, dark, metal room, and as he felt around it, he found it was completely empty. The only interruption in the smooth metal of the walls was a notch running along the height of one wall. As he was examining it, the wall slid open, pouring harsh white light into the room, stunning himMovement II-XV-Change of Pace


Movement II-XIV-Loose EndsHe's barreling down the road, faster than he's ever driven before. The stench of blood from the back seat grows stronger as the car accelerates, almost as if her life's going right into the engine, her dying body urging the car forward along the beaten up highway. The streetlights flash by, lighting up the speedometer in increments: eighty, eighty-five, ninety, one hundred then the lights start, bright red and blue dazzling him for a moment, nearly causing him to lose control of the car. It's an old one, certainly no match for the squad cars quickly closing the distance between them. If he keeps this up, they'll have him pinned in no tiMovement II-XIV-Loose Ends
